Frameless Balustrade

Frameless Glass Balustrades are the modern architectural solution to the desires of uninterrupted views while providing security and safety for staircases, balconies, terraces and with cooling brothers ranges of installation options there is something for everyone; including Planar fixings for side mounting glass, Stirrup mounts or even installation to an existing channel. Planar fixings are 50mm in Diameter and mechanically side mount glass to stair treads or a slab; whilst Stirrup mounts are mechanically fixed to the top of tread and using advanced machinery glass is shaped and cutout around each tread on staircases or fixed to the top of the slab for balconies.

Frameless glass can be installed into an existing channel to balconies or terraces eliminating fixings whilst still providing security. Once again all hardware used is 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel for added peace of mind.

Since the recent introduction of Australians Standards Code it has become a requirement by law that handrails are to be installed on balconies, porches, pathways etc which are one meter or more above the floor or ground level and thus Cooling Brothers has introduced two new options for stainless Steel Handrails. Both handrails are 50mm Diameter Stainless Steel with the option to Planar Fix the handrail through the glass or use the ‘slotted’ handrail where the top edge of the glass is inserted in a slot in the handrail and siliconed in place.

Semi Frameless Balustrade

Cooling Brothers Semi Frameless Balustrade is break from traditional wired balustrades providing virtually unobstructed views whilst also providing you with strength and durability.

With the use of quality glass and fittings you can rest assured that our Semi Frameless Balustrade system will stand the test of time. In this application we use 10mm Grade “A” Safety Glass which is cut and manufactured in our own factory and 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel Posts and Fittings with the option for Aluminium Posts powder coated to suite your colour scheme.

Abiding with the Australian Standard that handrails are to be installed on balconies, porches, pathways etc which are one meter or more above the floor or ground level Cooling Brothers has introduced the “Spigot” Handrail specifically designed to suit the Semi Frameless Balustrade system. The “spigot” handrail is 50mm Diameter Stainless Steel Handrail which is Mounted on top of a 10mm Stainless Steel Spigot to the Posts.
