JARtB House captures your attention instantly with its Neo Baroque façade & 7m cantilevered glass shard, abandoning the notion that art and architecture are separate.

It controls how aspects of privacy, translucency and light are interpreted and expressed through the lens of art. The saying goes that form follows function, but art has now established itself as the function, removing itself from the usual usage as decoration within buildings.
Designed by Kavellaris Urban Design, JARtB House stands proudly as a building where art isn’t ornamentation but serves a purpose and is integral to the function of the home. The double height spaces, interlocking volumes and visual links are all connected and informed through art - a striking showcase of PichiAvo’s exploration of Urban Mythology printed using DigiGlass interlayers.

Controlling for light with Digiglass
DigiGlass interlayers offer vibrancy and translucency in spades The interlayer is encapsulated within a custom laminate of glass and printed at 1440dpi to transpose the liveliness and boldness of the colours with accuracy. At night the glass is transformed into a translucent gallery, with the art becoming illuminated through internal lighting. This elevates an already breathtaking view to another level of artistry bringing theatrical drama to the façade effectively transforming the glass shard into a vibrant lantern.
