What’s a Rich Text element?

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Applications

Residential Applications

  • Windows and Doors: Enhances thermal insulation, reducing heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer, leading to lower energy bills and improved indoor comfort.
  • Skylights and Canopies: Provides natural light while minimizing heat transfer and UV exposure, protecting interiors from sun damage.
  • Noise Reduction: Ideal for homes in noisy environments, as the double layers significantly reduce external noise infiltration.

Architectural and Commercial Applications

  • Office Buildings: Improves energy efficiency and occupant comfort by maintaining consistent indoor temperatures and reducing reliance on HVAC systems.
  • Retail Spaces and Shopping Malls: Enhances aesthetic appeal with large glass facades while providing insulation and noise reduction.
  • Hospitals and Schools: Offers a quiet and comfortable environment conducive to healing and learning by minimizing external noise and maintaining indoor temperatures.
  • Refrigerator and Freezer Doors: Maintains internal temperatures efficiently, reducing energy consumption and preventing condensation.
  • Display Cases: In commercial settings, double glazing helps maintain temperature control for perishable goods while allowing clear visibility.

What does single/double/triple silver soft coats refer to?

The terms refer to the number of silver layers in a soft coat. Single silver soft coats are more cost-effective as they are cheaper to produce, however have lower performance. Triple silver soft coats have three layers, enhancing the IGU's ability to reflect heat and improving solar performance.

What is the difference between Hard Coat Low-E and Soft Coat Low-E?

Hard coat (Pyrolytic Coatings) Low-E consists of a single layer vapor deposit applied at high temperatures during the float glass process. Hard coats are ideal for use as a single (monolithic) piece of glass as the coating is highly durable.

Soft coat (Sputter Coats) Low-E coatings are applied in a large magnetron sputter vacuum deposition (MSVD) machine. This allows for a nano-technologically precise coating with multiple layers of metals such as silver, greatly improving performance. Soft coats typically achieve greater solar control, higher visible light transmission (VLT), and lower U Values compared to hard coat Low-E glass. Soft coats can only be used with an IGU as the coating is fragile and easily damaged.

Where are InsulCool IGUs manufactured?

InsulCool IGUs are manufactured in Perth and Melbourne and delivered across Australia and New Zealand.

Where do you source Low-E glass for InsulCool IGUs?

The soft coat Low E used in our InsulCool range of IGUs is sourced from a range of leading global manufacturers including Guardian, ACG, Saint Gobain, and others.

Can I use decorative glass within an InsulCool IGU?

Yes, InsulCool can be produced with decorative glass products such as ImagInk, Digiglass, and Vanceva.

Can I combine Whisper Acoustic into a double glazed window?

Absolutely. Using Whisper within a double glazed unit such as InsulCool greatly enhances the effectiveness of the acoustic properties and is a recommended configuration.

Can I specify a custom laminated soft coat Low-E in my IGU?

For projects where safety and performance are paramount, IGUs can be configured with a custom laminated Soft Coat Low-E. Please contact us for details.
