Cool-E from Cooling Brothers is a high-performance hard coat Low-E glass, engineered for use in single and double glazing applications. Delivering excellent thermal insulation with robust durability, Cool-E achieves cost-effective performance in residential and commercial projects across all Australian climates.
Hard Coat Low-E
Cool-E improves thermal insulation and reduces energy costs while remaining a cost-effective solution thanks to the Hard Coat Low-E surface.
AS/NZ 4666:2012 certified
All Insulcool double glazed units are certified to AS/NZS 4666:2012, the Australian standard for insulating glass units.
Warm edge spacer technology
InsulCool IGUs feature thermally broken warm edge thermoplastic (TPS) spacer technology sourced from global leaders Quanex and Kommerling.

Hard coat (Pyrolytic Coatings) Low-E consists of a single layer vapor deposit applied at high temperatures during the float glass process. Hard coats are ideal for use as a single (monolithic) piece of glass as the coating is highly durable.
Soft coat (Sputter Coats) Low-E coatings are applied in a large magnetron sputter vacuum deposition (MSVD) machine. This allows for a nano-technologically precise coating with multiple layers of metals such as silver, greatly improving performance. Soft coats typically achieve greater solar control, higher visible light transmission (VLT), and lower U Values compared to hard coat Low-E glass. Soft coats can only be used with an IGU as the coating is fragile and easily damaged.
If you know your preferred U Value, SHGC and VLT values you can use our glass selection tool to identify the most appropriate solutions for your project. You can access the tool here.
