Bulleen Park and Ride, Melbourne

The Bulleen Park and Ride sets a new benchmark for integrated public transport architecture in Victoria, combining sustainable design with practical infrastructure. Designed by Peter Elliott Architecture + Urban Design, in collaboration with GHD and CPB Contractors, the project forms part of the North East Link and Eastern Freeway Upgrade, serving as a key interchange for Melbourne’s growing east. The building’s reinforced green roof provides over 5,000sqm of landscaped public space, connecting commuters to the Koonung Creek Trail via pedestrian and cycling paths. The glazing systems deliver both visual transparency and acoustic performance across this multi-level transport hub.

Glass & Glazing Details

Cooling Brothers supplied ImagInk™ printed and laminated glass for the facade and canopy elements at Bulleen Park and Ride. The canopy features 13.52mm Cool-E Grey with ImagInk™ printing providing shading and visual distinction that complements the architectural design. Additional glazing included custom laminated Vanceva specified for different facade applications to balance daylight, privacy, and energy performance. All glass was locally processed and fabricated to meet tight construction timelines while maintaining precision across large-format facade and canopy installations.
