Custom printed laminated architectural glass featuring Noongar cultural artworks integrated into the new elevated Queens Park Station as part of the METRONET Victoria Park–Canning Level Crossing Removal Project.
Project Introduction
Queens Park Station (Boree Boree) forms part of the METRONET Victoria Park–Canning Level Crossing Removal Project, one of Perth’s most significant rail infrastructure transformations. Designed as both a transport hub and cultural landmark, the elevated station embeds large-scale printed glass artworks celebrating Noongar heritage and local identity.
Cooling Brothers collaborated with Artify Consulting, the Public Transport Authority, METRONET project partners, and the commissioned artists to translate complex artistic narratives into durable architectural glass panels engineered for high-traffic public environments.
Glass & Glazing Details
ImagInk digitally printed interlayers were incorporated into 13.52 mm Soltech Neutral Heat Strengthened Laminated glass, selected for durability, UV stability, and colour fidelity.
Each artwork was mapped across multiple elevations using schematic axonometric drawings supplied by TARRMACstudio to maintain narrative continuity and scale across the station facade and concourse areas.
Fabrication was completed by Vertex Facades, ensuring compliance with thermal, safety, and structural performance requirements.
