Custom printed architectural glass integrated into the new elevated Oats Street Station as part of the METRONET Victoria Park–Canning Level Crossing Removal project.
Project Introduction
Oats Street Station is part of the METRONET Victoria Park–Canning Level Crossing Removal Project, Perth’s first major elevated rail transformation designed to improve transport safety, create versatile public space and reduce congestion. The new elevated station will replace the existing ground‑level station, with entrances on both sides of Oats Street and improved connections to bus, pedestrian and cycling networks.
The overall project also includes extensive public space activation under the elevated rail, community amenities such as plazas, playgrounds, trails and integrated public art responding to local identity.
Glass & Glazing Details
ImagInk printed laminated glass was selected for its long-term durability, UV stability, and high-fidelity reproduction of the artists’ original designs. Oats Street incorporates Low-E laminated glass to balance visual clarity, solar control, and structural performance across station concourses and facades.
Each panel was precisely mapped using schematic layouts prepared by TARMACstudio, ensuring continuity across multiple panels. Fabrication and installation were completed by Vertex Facades.
