GLASS PROJECT

Metronet – Carlisle Street Station | Public Art Glass Installations

Custom printed architectural glass integrated into the new elevated Carlisle Station as part of the METRONET Victoria Park–Canning Level Crossing Removal project.

Carlisle Station is part of the METRONET Victoria Park–Canning Level Crossing Removal Project, Perth’s first major elevated rail transformation designed to improve transport safety, create versatile public space, and reduce congestion. The new elevated station replaces the existing ground-level station, with entrances on both sides of Oats Street and improved connections to bus, pedestrian, and cycling networks.

Glass & Glazing Details

ImagInk printed laminated glass was selected for its long-term durability, UV stability, and high-fidelity reproduction of the artists’ original designs. Carlisle Station incorporates 8 mm Heat Strengthened glass to balance transparency, lightness, and structural performance across concourses and facades.

Each panel was precisely mapped using schematic layouts prepared by TARMACstudio, ensuring continuity across multiple panels. Fabrication and installation were completed by Vertex Facades.
