What is a warm edge spacer?

Unlike conventional aluminium spacers, warm edge spacers are made of composite materials. This results in a lower thermal conductivity, reducing heat loss and minimising potential condensation. For IGUs filled with argon gas, warm edge spacers offer vastly improved impermeability meaning the argon does not slowly leak out over the life of the spacer.
