What is the Fingersafe system?
The Fingersafe system, pioneered in 2007, is specific to hydraulic pool gates. It consists of a vertical notch cut out of the gate glass to prevent fingers from being caught as the gate closes. This system is now a mandatory requirement on all hydraulic pool fence hinges.
What does single/double/triple silver soft coats refer to?
The terms refer to the number of silver layers in a soft coat. Single silver soft coats are more cost-effective as they are cheaper to produce, however have lower performance. Triple silver soft coats have three layers, enhancing the IGU's ability to reflect heat and improving solar performance.
Is a handrail necessary for frameless glass balustrades in Australia?
If your balustrade is more than 1m above floor level, building codes require the installation of a handrail. However, a balustrade without a handrail is possible through a Performance Solution under the National Construction Code (NCC), requiring engineering design and certification. Vista View is an approved balustrade system for installation without a handrail.
